Greetings. Just back from Origins and had a great time! Great bunch of people up there and always fun to hang out with my dad and Mike from Rebel Minis. I have had a couple of people ask for SLM and Demonworld comparisons and I snapped a few quick pictures of the requests people had. I apologize for the fuzziness of a couple of the pictures. I am still learning the new camera and playing around with the manual focus with limited success.
First, is a stand of SLM orcs with the DW orcs on the right.
Second, are some 15/17mm SLM fauns on the left, DW elves in the middle, and a 20mm SLM faun on the right.
Third, are a 20mm SLM faun on the left, DW humans in the middle, and some 15/17mm SLM fauns on the right.
I am really excited Ral Partha Europe will be re-releasing the DW range and wish them the best of luck with it.

Lots of New Stuff
Okay. More playing with the new camera. Still working on the manual focus but overall I am pleased with the beginnings of how these are turning out. Here is a mix of new stuff and some other pictures I took.
First, we have some new dwarf packs sculpted by Wiff Waff including king's guard, veterans, berserkers, shield maidens, rangers, heavy cavalry command, and heavy cavalry.
Next, we have some new wood elf packs, including rangers and maiden guard. These were sculpted by Faron Betchley along with the dryads.
Next, are two orc packs by Ben Siens: orc heavies and orc archers.
Finally, is another Mighty Armies force: The Conquistadwarves, available from Rodrick Campbell of Highlander Studios. The army features five pike units, two crossbow units, a priest spellcaster, and a general. I particularly like the priest stand with the dwarf hero and the halfling quartermaster flanking the human priest.

New Mighty Armies Armies
Here are some new MA armies I painted up and photographed with my new camera. I am still feeling my way through how it works but am already very pleased with it compared to my old one!
The first army is a cyclops army. These were sculpted by Wiff Waff and will be available at Origins.
The second army is an Amazon army from Lone Gunman Games. These are from the old Thanes Games line and were sculpted by Sandra Garrity. Though there are limited poses, the figures bend very well to give a lot of variety in looks.
The final army is a Wolfen army from Lone Gunman Games and were also sculpted by Sandra Garrity.
